Reading Jardins dHeva means accepting the ground rules below. We have kept them short and in everyday words, but they do carry weight, so it is worth a few minutes of your time.

1. The nature of our articles

We write about screens at home, gadgets, rooms, gardens, celebrations, trips and pastimes. All of it is general reading meant to inform and spark ideas. None of it is professional advice shaped around your particular house, devices or situation.

2. Doing the jobs yourself

Practical tasks around the home and garden can cause injury or damage. Read the leaflet that came with any machine, tool or product before trying one of our step-by-step guides, and stop whenever something feels wrong. Electrical installations, gas appliances, mains plumbing and anything load-bearing belong in the hands of a properly qualified person. Pieces touching on health are background only and do not stand in for someone who can assess you personally.

3. How current things are

We work hard to get the details right, yet products get updated, services alter their features and the odd slip happens. So we cannot guarantee that every line is complete and accurate on the day you read it. Spotted something off? Tell us through Reach Us.

4. Businesses we mention and sites we link to

Articles sometimes name or link to firms, shops and services because they relate to the subject at hand. Naming a business is not a recommendation or a warranty. We do not run those outside websites and are not responsible for their content, uptime or data practices; any deal you strike with them is a matter between you and them alone.

5. Using services within the rules

When we discuss TV services, streaming hardware or online tools, we take it for granted that readers use them lawfully, within each provider's conditions and the laws where they live. Please do not read anything here as a nudge towards watching material you have no right to access.

6. Reusing our writing

Our words, page design and illustrations are covered by copyright. Feel free to quote a brief extract, as long as you name Jardins dHeva and link to the article it came from. Reproducing complete posts, mirroring them on another site or using them commercially needs our permission in writing first.

7. Limits on our responsibility

As far as the law allows, the Jardins dHeva team accepts no responsibility for losses or harm that result from relying on what is published here, from choices you make after reading it, or from the blog being offline for a while. Rights you hold by law that cannot be signed away remain untouched by this paragraph.

Our handling of personal information is set out in the Privacy Notice, which belongs with these terms.

9. Revisions

These ground rules can be updated now and then. Whatever version sits on this page at the time of your visit is the one in force, so an occasional look does no harm.
